All Small Six FINALLY GOT MY AUSSIE 2V BUILD HOME

This relates to all small sixes
Hey Guys , I have started to strip the block paint down . What is a really good prep or cleaner to use on the block after I have got the paint off ?

That orange citrus gel works amazingly well !!!
I'll have to take some time and upload some more pics from my project...this is the stuff I used...

I don’t need any parts from AU . I thought that the threads on AU Head was of a Metric Thread . But it was not . It was a Standard thread . Thanks for keeping up with rhe posts

Thanks ! I used a spray can striper . And cleaned it with brake cleaner , then I primered and painted ir

What size push rods did you use? Where did you get your intake gasket? What head gasket did you use? Did you use the adjustable rocker arms that came with the OZ head? I just received mine and this is some of the questions I have lol.

asked these earlier, wasn't interested...

@falconcritter Will probably chime in soon. But when I had the 250-2v head...

I used the adjustable rockers and suggest calling Smith Brothers or Rocker Arms Unlimited and see what they can provide for push rods. On my current build I used larger (thicker) rods since I bent two with the 250-2v.

Head Gasket was Fel Pro.

Intake gasket was provided by CI back then. You may be able to use the Aluminum Head Intake Gasket. I think they are a little off. You might have to trim them. But worth a try for $16 @VintageInlines. Or cut your own. Last resort would be Aussie Speed. https://www.ebay.com/itm/163438548216?hash=item260db254f8:g:kJcAAOSwHexcGOd0

This is slightly off topic, but who did you ship through and what did it cost? I've sealed a deal for an Aussie and he's gonna be looking for a shipper hopefully this weekend. I'd like to have a rough idea and possibly someone cheaper for him to use if so. I don't know all that you got but I'm getting the head, intake, stromberg, rockers, and pushrods. Weight is about 110lbs including pallet.
