Howdy folks, just wondering where to find a flywheel for my 250, will a 0 balance 302 wheel work? All of the cars I've found in my area have automatics, and Carquest doesn't list one for a 250, but they have them for 200's. Thanks in advance.

Off a 300 I6 with 164 teeth in most cases. The stock 250 one could be 157 teeth. There is no difference, although the torque converter pitch could be 10.5 or 11.4. The starter should be a two bolter. Some C4's and manuals have different teeth counts. I'm assuming you have an auto. If its manual, you'll have to do a scout around.

Not sure on the part numbers.

For those 302/5.0 ones, there is quite a bit of unbalnce, either 28 or 50 ounces, which is like 800 to 1400 grams. Its not just a case or ripping the balances off, you've gotta make it zero balance. A competent machine shop should be able to do it.

Hope this helps.

You can pick up one for a late model 302 for under $50, then have it rebalanced to '0'

How much does Car Quest want for a 200 flywheel??

I just got a 302 flywheel to go on my 250. Its quite a bit of metal to take off to get to zero balance. To do that and resurface the flywheel is going to cost me $115 at my machine shop.
