Forged internals for the 250?

Were there any forged internal parts offered in 250s from the factory? I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere. Thanks.

Rods were forged, but all cranks cast. You can get billet cranks made in Melbourne, by one of the specialists.

US spec rods were forged until 1978. Up until then there was a C9 forged piece. After that, all US 250's had a D8 cast piece. Heavier, but weaker than the earlier rod.

Sounds good. I think a treated cast crank will serve my purpose well. I'm just looking for some reasonably priced insurance is all. Thanks guys!
