fuel pump rebuild kit ?

i would like a fuel pump rebuild kit for the original screw togther fuel pump as i have had trouble with the 'new' ones ticking and loosing prime

I dont know if anybody is making those. A new pump for my 250 was only $15, with a price like that why would anyone go through the trouble of rebuilding an old one? I've been running one from autozone for the last 6 months and hasnt given me any problems

its orginal and it looks right
if i didn't care i'd put a carter electric on on it

There is one. I have bought them here. Just checked the price though, and it seems they may have gone nuts.



Price on this one is equal to about USD$18.



Price this one equals USD$48 - go figure! All that seems different is the check valve diameter.

the first seems reasonable enough the second is more than a carter pump that is about 40$

what is the bigger gasket just smaller than the diaphram with the 7 holes in the center? it does not seem to be in cheaper kit

either way thanks and where can i get them? i will be ordering a couple justr in case they go away

will oil preserve them or just the standard room temp not too humid/dry

I think the expensive kit is for the screw-on canister fuel filter type pump. The upper picture is for a glass bowl pump (bowl on top, no vacuum).

You can get them both from several places; the easiest is probably this one.

Rubber stores well in a humidity controlled environment.
