Generator to Alternator?

Have any of you guys switched over from generator to alternator with Dearborn's conversion module/kit? I'm considering this on my '65 200 rebuild. Things I should be aware of? Any feedback is appreciated.

I added the alt along with my 1978 200 cid motor from a fairmont.

Added a regualtor for the alt & changed a few wires per a diagram I found though this board.

Slightly off topic, but when the alternator went bad on the Cat 3208 in my RV (Ford accessories on the engine), I switched to a true one-wire GM-style alternator, and have been super happy with the results. Absolute piece of cake to hook up (dud! ONE wire), and it came with a lifetime warranty from NAPA...
