where can i send my headers out to be coated and how much?

i think you can get them coated if you buy new from mike(AZcoupe)
but can i ship my headers to him and just get them coated?

also what would be a justifications for buying the DUI Distributor?

thanks for any help

$365 for simplicity? thats it? will i get better spark? i already have a msd ignition but i still have the stock dizzy from 1980...thats a dizzy 2 correct?

If you have a DS11 and MSD you should keep it. If you were starting from scratch you would probably like the DUI. The DUI is the same as the Chevy HEI. One wire for power and one plug for tach. Great spark and readily available parts.

so stay with the one i have now? at the most just get a new one?

If you are building a performance ignition system from scratch you would do good buying the DUI.

If you already have a performance ignition system(DSII and MSD) you might be better off keeping what you have.

Has the DSII been recurved? Is it in good shape? If not and you like to tinker you might enjoy rebuilding the stock DSII. If you don't like to tinker or your projects tend to get out of hand, you might want to simplify and get the DUI.

A lot of people don't realize the performance potential of the stock GM HEI. There are millions of street cars, drag cars and dirt cars runing them. The DUI units have a better coil and deliver more power. Take a night off and visit the local dirt track and talk to the IMCA guys. Compaired to an MSD setup they are cheap and trouble free. I am sure the Ford six unit will cost a little more than the Chevy unit, thats just the way it is.

If you do a little digging around here, you will see recomendations for recurving the DSII, and info on using the stock module vs using the GM HEI module.

Mike @ FSPP is a dealer for jet hot.

Or get in touch with www.jethot.com Their sales department is in valley forge, pa.

The headers will have to be shiped tp pascaugallla, miss to be jet hot coated. The cost will be in the $200.00 to $250.00 area.

As stubby said if you have the dsII with msd, you will be ok with your ignition.

However the DUI distributor is much more adjustable & would be a very good investment. William
