The oil does go to the rockers up the drivers side rear head bolt hole shared by the bolt by way of a kidney shaped groove in the head. The rear rocker stand head boss has a hole drilled to the head bolt hole. The larger studs does take up more space but it is not usually a problem but possibly could be if it happens to be jammed up against the oil hole to stand boss.
This is why in hotrod building every thing is ported for flow, be it oil, air/fuel, cooling water flow. etc.

I was discussing this with @TrickSix a while back. Here are some photos he sent illustrating how the oil gets through that kidney bean shaped dish under the back of the head to the rocker gallery and then up the post on the rocker shaft tower.

The first two photos are of the bottom and top side of the head where the oil feeds up the rocker shaft tower. The third photo is of the bottom of the shaft tower where it meets the feed hole. Your photo looks like you've plugged the galley on the block right below the kidney shaped opening on the head. All good as far as I can see.

I would imagine with the Yella Terra set up, you no longer need that feed hole in the photos I posted because the rockers are now lubed by the hollow in the pushrods via the self lubing lifters. Similar to the way a small block chevy or a Chrysler Slant-6 lubed the rockers.

I think that we have established how the oil get from the top of the block oil hole to the shaft, but what some do not know that from the oil hole passage in the top of the block, does not go to the oil galley, it goes straight down a drilled passage to a hole in the rear cam bearing then around a grove in the cam journal to a second hole in the cam bearing down a drilled passage to the rear main bearing saddle then the main bearing is slotted and then to the main oil galley by way of another drilled passage.
So in other words the shaft is the last place to get oil. They did this so that if you ran it out of oil, the rockers would start clacking with no oil to quiet the .016'' rocker to valve clearance or more that the original mechanical setup used. Hopefully you would stop before the main bearing spun.

Yes, I do have YT rockers, lubed thru the pushrods. But back to how this got started, the op was wanting to know:

2. I noticed that the assembly I picked up doesn’t have a stand with flow for extra oil, like I had on mine. How necessary is that? Should I just swap out one from mine or keep it as it is?

If @WillingnessLimp is running a stock adjustable rocker assembly, I would think he should keep the stock oil supply passages. If the adj stand doesn’t have passages for the oil, I would swap it with the original that does.
Then back to my question. Pictures 1 and 2 show the oil passages on the bottom of the head- oil coming into the head, and the top of the head- oil coming out of the head and into the stand- I don’t see the passage including the head bolt passage. Maybe just for a short ways in the block? I would think then ford would have run it all the way up to the top of the head using the bolt passage??
Maybe the big6 uses the bolt passage??

Don to answer your question maybe, more clearly #1 pic shows the Kidney bean shaped groove in the head that lines up with the oil port in the block that you blocked. The oil flows from there to the Kidney shaped groove to the head bolt hole up around the space between the head bolt, now look at the pic to the right of #1 it show a drilled passage that intersects the head bolt hole about 1-1/4''down.
The over flow stand was simply dropped as Ford did not any longer thought it was necessary and to save money no matter which style rocker where used. Why it was used in the first place, some think that it was to add extra oil to the dist. gear that is below. I have always blocked it off thinking that more oil was needed to the rockers and have not had a gear problem some say they have.

Thanks for being patient!! It does flow thru the bolt passage for a short ways.
I am familiar with The top and bottom of the head but never followed the passages.
So the be op really could use either stand

@drag-200stang sorry guys, it’s been a bit busy with work and was waiting on some rebuild parts.
So in terms of the rocker assembly, I ended up sending it to RAU for a rebuild and got it back about a week ago.
I ended up sending carb to redline and they indeed confirmed that it was faulty and sent me a new one. So hopefully that will solve the problem with my idling and flooding situation.
I haven’t installed anything yet, so can’t say I have a progress lol
While I was waiting for everything to come back, I’ve decided to check my front suspension and brakes. So slowly with 2-3 hours a week, I’ve changed everything on the front (new 1 inch sway bar, both control arms, new springs, shocks, strut rods), new rear shocks; got new rear calipers (mine were seized with parking brake and pistons were a bit rusty) - trying to fit new parking brake assembly now (on my old one the cable wasn’t moving freely); decided to tackle rebuild for door hinges, but had to order new ones…I can already see me having problems to align the door
I didn’t like what PO did with brake booster and dual master cylinder…I have a feeling that it wasn’t adjusted properly for the brake pedal pushrod movement (how far it gets pushed when you press the brake) and there is no proportioning valve for the rear (only standard distribution block). This will be my next step probably.
So pretty much haven’t touched the engine part, but have everything back in the garage ready to run.
At this point I just need to put everything back…sounds easy, but don’t have enough time at once.
