Help - Remove Alternator Pulley

Who has removed an alternator pulley? Do these thread on or just pull off.

I need to swap a single for a dual and cannot get the stupid thing off of the donor.

8) once you get the nut off, the pulley should pop off fairly easily.

I've had to put a 3-jaw puller on them before. Sometimes they corrode onto the shaft.

I pulled mine off relatively easy. You need a pretty big allen wrench to hold the shaft (3/8" ?), and i think a 1 1/8 wrench, maybe 1" to remove the nut. PB blaster makes it easy

I finally got the damn thing off using PBblaster and prying slowly. I just wasn't sure if it was threaded on or not.

Easiest way to get them off is with a 1/2" impact wrench. BRRRAP... and, off. 2 seconds.
I've skinned knuckles and bent fans very other way.
No need for the allen wrench using an impact wrench, as the large mass of the rotor keeps things from spinning much.
