i have been away from my car for the past month and just got back and drove it today. it wants to stumble and die at idle and runs badly in general i had to keep my foot on the gas the entire time or it would stall. ran fine when i was moving though. it seemed to get a little better when i turned the idle screws way out. any ideas why it would act like this? i had it running supper nicely before i left.

If it's being sitting for a while maybe there is condensation in the log or water in the gas. Or a dried out carb gasket. Also check the screws on the carb and see if any are loose. Fuel pump could be deteriorating too.

I will try a bottle of anti condensation stuff in the gas, and i doubt that its the fuel pump... but maybe? dried out gasket could be it, what would that do cause a vaccum leak? and would the gasket rehydrate eventually?

Thanks
