Thes carbs have an economizer valve or "power valve" inside the float bowl. Under load, the spring pushes down on the valve and allows additional fuel to flow. You can see the spring on the right side of the float bowl area with the bowl off and is held in place by three screws on top of the carb. Hopefully that is all clear.
Now I have cleaned and blown out every passage in this carb, check ball rolls around freely in the economizer valve, reassembled everything...Is there any way to test whether the valve is actually working? I do not have a glass bowl so I cant see it under operating conditions and there are no exposed parts to watch either.

I am getting ready to put engine back in the truck soon and I am certain that this problem (bog) will still be there.
