Hot Cam, how's this sound?

not to sound supid but what will it do if i go to them gears maveric?

A lower gear will help the acceleration off the line. If the gear ratio is to high, the car will bog down until you get moving. This cam was designed with a C4, 2000 stall converter, and 8" 350 gears in mind.

can you get the gears at like summit or jegs? i beilive i got an 8 in rear end i think what ever comes in a 83 fairmont i have with 308 gears at least i was told they were 308 what would come in facotry for gears

the Cam could use a bit more duration for me.

With the OZ head I picked up from AzCoupe on saturday I should be able to get some air flow through this engine.

I am planning on at least a 10 :1 motor. The car will see limited street use. I may bump the compression up a bit more.

I am going to gear the car to run near 6k RPM at 100+ mph though the traps at the strip. If I make more horsepower than I expect, I will remove some gearing to see if I can raise the mph a bit and still keep some good ET's

I wish that cam was available when I changed mine. :( 8)

KC, I was going to go with an ISKY 262 cam, but now that Mike is getting these…
Is there anything in particular you can say about the ISKY that you like or don’t like with the 2V head?

Mine too.
I'm thinking this will be a great addition to my engine build this spring witha Holley 350 CFM, and even better next fall when the triples come together.

Oops old post but... theres nothing wrong with the ISKY. With 3.50 gears you should be sittin pretty.

I just like that this is a dual pattern cam to help out the poor exhaust flow of these sixes. The rpm range on this one looks good though and it has a nice lift.

If I were you I'd get this cam. Either way though I bet your car will haul ass.
