Could someone explain to me how to flush out my cooling system... Its a 67 200ci mustang... My engine is running a little hot and this is the first step in troubleshooting..

Thanks guys!

Go to autozone or the like, they usually have cooling system flushing kits for like $10.

While you're there, grab a new thermostat for your car...it's like anouther $10.

I disconnected my hoses and stuck the garden hose in and out of every opening in both the radiator and block and let it flow until clear. Fill it with just water, drive it for a few miles and flush it once more. Unless you've got major problems, that should do it.

I'm with LaGrasta....I've used radiator cleaner first, and that cleans it out, but the hose is what reallly does the job...its amazing how much more comes out.
