yep, my 1946 accelerator got stuck...so I shut off the car to keep engine frm over revving....and i coasted to a stop in front og the federal court house in miami...right in the break of the barriers..w.hcih was where the guard shack was....

the guard came running out, hand on gun saying "you cant stop there!!"

I was already at my hood...I said "if Ididnt stop here, I would have run into that crowded bus...my accelerator is stuck"

by that time I had popped the linkage back so it would work...thats when he informed me i might have been looked at as a terrorist..

YEAH...ME, WHITE BOY, DRIVING THE AMERICAN ICON, AN OLD MUSTANG...YEAH

so I HAD to install my RF....and since you read this far...help me out. MY RF now doesnt give me enough clearance to use my air cleaner .

what do people with an RF do for air cleaner..???????????

BTW...it now starts cold and runs so smooth...even without the hot air choke (whihc is on the wrng side of the carb)

Roger that Spyke. The RF needs a drop base air cleaner. If I still had mine, it would be yours!

yep Spyke....4 months and i finally got it in...

I had to get a new fuel line adaptor and the throttle ball asortment kit that you reccomended chris...and then it was a go...and it runs so much better that the 1946

i just have to tune it...

OK...tuning question...there is a nipple for a vaccuum advance on the passenger side just above the base....where do i attach that to...where does other end of vaccuum go? Didtributor verticle? distributor horizontal?

The vacuum attaches to the horizontal bung on the dizzy - that's advance. The other one, vertical nearest the dizzy, is the retard. You really don't need it just plug it.

Try a later Mustang air cleaner off a 250. They have a drop base with minimal distance to the hood.
