Hey guys,
I got a Holley modular series 2bbl carburetor off of one of my friends for a good price...FREE! However, I do not know what CFM it is or its model number. There is a 'remanufactured' sticker on the top of it but it has no carburetor tag showing what model it is. All the sticker says is 'remanufactured', no company name. I do know that he pulled it off of a Ford 360 and added it to his collection of Holleys. I couldn't tell you if it was the original carburetor on that truck as I'm pretty sure it was a '65 Ford Pickup.

How should I go about IDing what CFM and model it is??

Thanks,
Stephen

On the back side of the air horn, facing the float bowl, there should be a number stamped into the metal. For instance, the Holley 500cfm 2 bbl would be 4412. Just find this number and search the Holley website for it.

Some Holley carbs do not have a list number on the air horn.... I bought a carb from a fellow with the list number XXXXXX off the air horn.

When I received the carb I immediately knew it was not a # 7448 Holley carb... I had not verified with the fellow it was a Holley 350 CFM carb list #7448

The carb had a metal tag on a screw. I sanded on the XXXX'd out list number for a partial number.

With the tag number and partial list number I was able to learn the carb was a 350 cfm off an International truck engine ....

On the Air Horn:

LIST 6221-2
3449

I havn't had anything come up when I search these numbers, gonna keep looking.

Thanks guys,
Stephen

Measuring the throttle plate will give you an idea of the CFM 350 or 500 cfm are the common sizes.

The rebuild kit I got from Summit had gaskets in it to fit the throttle plate for the small and large base carb

It's a replacement carb for a 2300C. Measure the butterflies: 1 1/2 inches is 350 cfm; 1 11/16 inches is 500 cfm.
