Hey guys,
i have just about had it with the falcon. The truck and the stang were never this much trouble. Well heres my problem hope you uys can help.. i set the timing on my motor to 12 degrees. my idle is at 1200 in a none drive gear. the car runs okay but sounds realy grumpy the motor dies and will not restart. FInally i decide to kick the timing up a bit to 18 and it fires and runs put it into drive it dies. restart it i am only getting 14lbs of vacume. I called pony thinking it was carb problem we diognose it and indeed it is not a carburetor problem. My question is why is my ride doing this to me it has a new carb new points condenser set the dwell (petronix cause of this same issue) wires plugs and Coil. Its a brand new motor and all my problems started at hot august nights this year when the petronix unit went out. IO changed out every vacume line the transmission modulator the vacume advance the you name it i did it cost was not an opption. on this motor i kept stock mostly. i am out of ideas and i am ready to say goodbye to it cause no matter what i do it wont run right. i need some advice Carson carburetor and ignition says they think it is a POS because it was not responding correctly to anything they did, when i took it into them. hope you guys can help
