intake ???????

question for the I6 gurus.....on my 74 250, there is a flange under the carb above the intake...into this the emissions tube is fed.....apparently there is another peice that belongs there also, but all I have is JB Weld stuffed in the hole........that flange looks like it had 2 bolts on either side, but one has broken off :roll: if this is greek I can try to post a pic.......thanks.....Robert

Sounds like an EGR valve flange. If it runs, OK, don't sweat it.

well, it runs ok, just not puurrfect.....sometimes acts like a vacuum hose leak.....am replacing hoses little by little......just wondered if removing the flange was ok, had been done, need to leave alone? thanks...will keep chuggin along........Robert
