The Crossflow hybrid fired for real today. I actually got it to idle well, rev nicely, and start consistently. It's amazing what happens when fuel, air, and spark come together at the right time.

I had it running on the Mikuni six-pack before, but never could get it to idle. The Strombergs are much nicer in that area and the vacuum is higher.

Issues to still tackle:

gauges not yet hooked back up. I had them on once before and the engine was giving good oil pressure then so I'm not too concerned.

Temps seem acceptable, but the fan is not yet powered up so a long run would cause overheating.

Headers are still smoking. The paint will have to burn off a bit more. The glasspacks are loud. I have some aluminum Ducatti bike muflers that may be better looking on this car.

Alternator not hooked up so the battery is charging from the charger.

Brakes, wiring, driveshaft, windshield, seats, bonnet, and tail still need fabricating, but I'm very close now.

I'll get a video up tonight.

Jack, congradulations, :D :D its so great to hear an engine you have been working on actually finally light up.

Once you get the bugs worked out the vehicle it will be a joy to drive.

Keep up the good work, Bill
