Its Done, YEAH!!!!

Wow, after almost a month and a half or work and struggles its done. Today i finished up with my engine swap and actaully got it back out on the road. Had a little problem with timing it but I think I got it mostly taken care of. She still stumbles a bit at idel but once your one to road she flys I want to thank all you guys for the help with the torque convert issue and with all the problems.

yes, some how i forgot to snap a few of those. Ill be sure to get some tomorrow. Thanks for the comment on the paint. You'd probably have my hide if i told you what color it is, oh well Ill tell ya. Its Dodge Viper Race Yellow. I know its mopar but I just love the color. At dusk and at night it just shines and is so deap a rich.

Love the color. Everytime I see someone use a non-standard, yet very cool color , it makes me rethink repainting the stock color on mine a little bit.

Yeah, I was really scared when I got it done, I got it back from the shop and the color looked really washed out and faded and I was really displeased with the color. I got all the chrome on it and gave it a wax and a few months later the color really deepend up. Its now really rich and full. Something that I wanted. I fell in love with yellow but didnt really like ford chrome yellow. Seemed a little too much like daisy/school bus yellow. Ive always been in love with the dodge viper and my dream car is a 98 viper painted this color with black rally stripes. I dunno.

Today she gave me some grief though. I was in Auburn, about 30 miles from home, and she just up and died. In a fit, and also late for my psych class I pushed her into the shop and told them to just get it running. They came back an hour later and told me that they couldent do anything untill they got a new dizzy for me. They wanted 60 bucks for a dizzy and another 100 bucks on labor just to install it. YEAH RIGHT... Anyways I called my parents and they ran down and took me to a local parts store where I picked up a new dizzy and all teh goddies, and then swapped it out right infront of their shop. LOL... Oh well, she is all good now. There isnt much I havent touched on this car, the onlt two things now are the tranny and the rear end, knock on wood, they both feel really solid so I dont think they will go out anytime soon.

I do have a question for you guys. Ive been thinking of turning this into more of a cruiser, night time show car etc. I think that tinting the windows will give it a really cool look but I havent seen any older mustangs with window tint. Is there a reason or what? Is it just not desierable. Ive been thinking about going 35%. A shop around here sells the film stuff for like 20 bucks and its garunteed never to purple. Any ideas?
