Hi,
In a few weeks, at Maple Grove Speedway there will a high school drag racing tournament. It is bracket racing. Despite people wanting me to take my Mustang to Maple Grove, I will not do so. I do not have a tachometer and I do not want to blow my engine. I do not know how stable the car is. I have not been able to look over the suspension with as much detail as I would like to. I am sure the Stang could handle a few races but I am not willing to risk it. I was just curious as to what my race time would be at the 1/4 mile track.
My setup:
1968 200ci I6: Port divider, FSPP dual out header, dual exhaust with Borla ProXs mufflers, 1bbl carb. Am I guessing the rear end is original. I don't know what gearing that would be though (1965). So, any guesses as to what my 1/4mi time would be?
Future mods:
I would like to upgrade to a 2bbl carb soon. I have the carb and carb adapter (Clifford). I just need a 2bbl carburetor air cleaner (anyone have one? If so PM me so we may discuss, thanks
). After that I would like to install a shift kit from Transgo.
Thanks,
Justin
