Just got it today, a guy had it in is shop, it was all painted up and brand new inside bored .030 over..Question i have is that the carb is a holly 1 barrel i have no clue about this carb should i keep it or use my autolite that i have, the carb looks in good condition. Second was he threw in a 2.77 three speed, i have the dagenham 4 speed which would you guys use im torn between the two mainly because later this year i plan on using that 2.77 bellhousing for a toploader if i can find an adapter for it? Thanks for the help.

If the Holley carb works then use it, but keep your Autolite just in case. It also depends on whether the carb and dizzy are compatible with each other - load-0-matic, SCV.
Couldn't tell you about installing a top loader, not with a 200 anyhow. Forget about the dagenham 4 speed. Go with a T-5; you'd be glad you did. Everyone that has gone with a 5-speed says it's the best upgrade you can do.

Good luck,

Ive really be debating the toploader verus t-5 toploader is a little cheaper but yeah a t-5 would be nice. The holley was working im going to be dropping the engine in this weekend and for the time being im going to have to figure the 3 speed or 4. Its a stock dizzy so load-o-matic im sure. Is there a performance gain from the holley im sure its got to be a little at least. Thanks

I had that Holley on my 67. I broke it though... I've heard that one shouldn't use a Fram oil filter on a classic. That is why I use STP or Motorcraft.

I like the 1100 but plan on going EFI as soon as time and money converge

Fuel pump does look upside down for a 6.

Looks kinda like a load o?

I like WIX for filters

Yeah the guy i got it from tried to put that carter on ive since taken it out and put in my correct fuel pump, i wont be using the oil filter to bad it matches my car but i never heard that before, and no i havent put it in yet my dad just went on vacation so waiting for him to get back, im sticking with my dagenham for now i dont want to get adapters for the 3.03 thanks though. Cant wait to show before and after pics.
