Just picked up a K&N filter from Advance and i couldnt be happier. $40 and now my idle is smooth which it wasnt before even with a new filter and the car is a little faster. Just though i should tell you all, no one at home seems to care well they havent since i put the duals on and wake them up leaving for work/school.

let me be the fisrt to congradulate u then....YAY....WOOT...ok...now i hope u feel better, lol. Good thing to have is the high lowing filter...i just got one of those triangle edelbrock air filters that has the foam element and i'm very happy. The filter was very cheap and it looks really awesome...the filter has to be washed every 2000 km but thats fine and a replaceable element is only 10 bucks cdn. I was surprised that they made one for a 1 bbl carb, so I was extremely happy when i got mine too. HEHE...got u beat i think with my straight pipe.

K&N's are cool....just don't get trigger happy with washing the filter (ask me why? ) Just do it every 50.000 miles or sooner if you live in very dusty conditions.

now why shouldnt you wash it a not? i wasnt planning on it and i only reall y drive around town so it prolly wont even need to be cleaned

Sounds like the KN may have fixed a problem with your carb running rich. Since the KN flows more, it may have settled stuff out.
