If I may ask what does the Falcon weigh in at?

We didn't weigh it this last weekend but the last time was 2830lbs.
That's race weight with driver.

The 4500 stall converter I have is made by The Converter Shop up in Lake Havasu, AZ. I'm only going to try it because it's already in my garage.

Well see how it goes.

I agree that the 4500 converter might be a little too high.

Based on your rear end ratio and tire size, and assuming a 5500 RPM shift point (I don't kow what your real shift rpm is.) Your engine drops down to 3264RPM at the start of 2nd gear. At that RPM your 4500 stall converter would be slipping your horsepower away, and frying your trans fluid too.

By the way, with your rear end ratio, and tire diameter, I figure that your trap rpm is 5627 RPM.

Hope this helps.

AZstang66,

Did you see the pic's Will and Kelly took at the track. There is one of the Falcon warm'n the tires with you in the background.

You've been published!
