Need to know open maximum spring pressure Yella-Terra rocker arms for the 6 cylinder engine will tolerate???
X this is your expertise.

The lifters underthat load will likely kill even a nitrided cam at 450 pounds, and loads that high aren't needed.

I guess this is an excerise of "its not our rockers that will break" even if the cam lobes, pushrods and oiling system does.

I see failure in other things likely before the rocker at that poundage.

Rick smol ditched his earlier YT rockers because of pushrod ball to roller rocker compatibity matters.

Must use with YT Pushrod and Lifter Kit, Part No. YT 14101-12 Note 17 on Page 29 says it requires an adaptor (deflector, IIRC, FE or EAO style), not a guideplate, to suit the oil thru pushrods.

I forget if that is soley a solid lifter is included with that. The hydraulic cam can be used. its an FE argument as to if you restrict oil to rockers

Clay Smith supplies Solid Lifters (oiling) CSC-200-SBS for Yella Terra Full Roller Rocker Arms

I'm very pro Australian rocker gear, but its got some pretty restricted to Holden 186S style hollow pushrod dimensions and IIRC, SBF V8 Speed Pro HT900 oil thru lifter requirements.

Any time YT roller rockers are used, you have to change to non standard oil through push rods and the hydraulic lifters that YT say suit it. Because of the need to elimate poor roller life, you must allow the rockers to be covered in oil due to the roller tip and shaft mounting. Oil allows valve spring life to improve. Stock, the valve springs need a good amount of oil. With roller rockers, everything needs proper extra coverage.

X, the cam I plan to use is 135# seat pressure & 365# open. Yes the camshaft is nitrided. Yes I already have longer valves to accommodate the higher lift & 1.750" spring height

That a nice cam. Great lift, and moderate poundage valve springs compared to the Suspension coils required on a high lift FE....

Your on the right track with the cam. As long as the oil gets back into the crank, you shouldn't have any problems.

X I have one of the last Aussi pans that Mike imported, so I am not worried about oil getting back to the pan.
