mattri,
Depends if you want to buy off the shelf headers or have them custom made?

Headers will be supplied with the heads.

Inliner.....Headers will be supplied with the heads.

Cool! Sorry John I missed that somewhere? Either way they are both much better heads than the stock US log head.

er! One last question? Trade-in of Aussie 2V heads accepted?   Just kidding, I'm very happy with the Aussie 2v heads..............

those exhaust ports look a little larger than the ausie 2v head and standard head. when ported will be larger yet.

how far does the intake manifold come out form the head?

looks very nice and i can just picture an m90 sitting on top of the intake

thanks
John

Ruckus,

New molds would have to be made to compensate for the greater expansion rates of aluminum.

And yes, the exhaust can be made to flow some impressive numbers.

In the name of all that is holy stop tormenting us man! How much?!?
I will second that motion! :)
Please Please I need another winter project!

How much will these aluminum heads cost?

Will they be a direct bolt on?

Will they work with an american cam?

More info on the head can be found here

Price:
We want these to be comparable to the Aussie 250-2V head - bearing in mind that these heads are new and don´t need machine work. Until the heads clear US Customs, and manifolds are produced, there can be no price set.

somebody here in Buenos Aires makes the aluminium heads for the "Turismo 4000 Argentino" i dont know WHO :? i have to ask, and i think are direct bolt on.

last information i had, the head costs 900-1000 U$S, here 2500 pesos.

i have to ask to a friend who knows better than I.

Haven´t bought them yet, but these are what I´m waiting for. Long tubes, dual out.... These may have a problem clearing the starter on a 250. I´ll need to measure.

New head, new header.... oh yeah, IDF carb anyone? Plus you can see how ¨Big Daddy¨ (in the background) got his name.

Negative Mattri. That is for a weber IDF. Very nice high performance carb. Synchronous butterflies, very tunable. I think the biggest size is 48/48 and there is also a 44/44. I'm pretty sure you can get a selection of venturis to adjust intake velocity to your engine size/rev range. The problem, however, is that I don't think you can get it with a choke and fast idle valve - race only. I'm probably wrong about that since I haven't touched one since like 1988. BAck when I was licing in California all the the hot rod bug guys would run dual IDF. I gotta tell you, a 2 liter bug with a rad cam and dual 48's sounded pretty awesome, quick, too.

wow, i want to see a one of these attack a flow bench, i would also like to see under the hood of my falcon, but thats probably not gonna happen anyytime soon! all in time...
