Howdy:

O- is the carb from a 75 250 the same as the carb from a 69 250..any differences, emissionwise, or otherwise?

A- THe '75 250 carb will likely be a Carter RBS series. The '69 250 will have an Autolite 1101. Both have a ported vacuum source for a centrifugal advance distributor. Both are rated at about 215 CFM. Both should have a wide base mount and a 1 11/16" throtle bore.

Q- the one i asking about is a 1bbl carter carb.

A- While these two carbs are not "The same" they are very similiar in function. They are very interchangeable.

Q- also is there a 2bbl that will fit the stock 250 intake?

A- No, not without an adapter or modifications to the log.

hey thanks for the info. hey...out of curiosity, i saw the adaptors over at cliffords performance, will they (and the carb) fit under the hood with everything else stock? just wondering

Howdy Back:

The adapter adds 1 7/8", with gaskets top and botom it's 2". this is for a Holley 2300 type two barrel carb.

YOu didn't say what engine in what vehicle so I have no idea on what clearance you may have now, but on most it's tight to begin with.

It's best to take some modeling clay, make some cones and place them on top of your current air cleaner and close the hood. The hood will smash the clay cones. Their smashed height is what clearance you have to work with.

On most engines there is an adapter between the log and the stock one barrel. You make be able to remove the adapter when useing the two barrel adapter, to gain a little more clearance.

You will not be able to use your stock air cleaner with a two barrel without serious modification.
