new headers

i have been longing for a set of headers for a long time so i was wondering what was the best all around company for single exhaust headers. i just put in a 2 1/4 inch exhaust system in the car so i dont want to tear it out and spend the money for dual. the car still has the stock muffler with the headers will it give it a better sound although in a few months i will probably change to a dynomax but anyone have stock muffler with a header?

almost forgot the car is a 66 200 so it has the low starter

Go over to Classic Inlines and look at the pacemaker header. I 've had one now for quite awhile also what ever header you buy pay the extra to have it jet coated. Mine still looks new.

As for sound. your stock muffler will keep it quite. I have been running a single exhaust with a pretty much stock muffler. it was ok. I just put on a new flow master. wow it woke it up nice sound.

since i am going with the headers i was also wondering about the advantage of a weber 32/36 dgav i read the sticky but i am still a little confused what kind of power gain will it give me also once its on what kind of clearance issues do i have i dont plan on using the heater spacer again (it doesnt get too cold in s. Florida). how would i hook up the kickdown cable and the electric choke.

i know evryone has heard this question a thousand times but what muffler would go good with this exhaust. i dont want anything obscenley loud but a little throaty on hard throttle maybe a flowmaster 50, dyno turbo, or a ulftra flo ss. anyone have any expierience with any of these can someone tell me or post a sound clip.

Well, I already went to the trouble of doing a search for you last week sometime and posting some clips under your last post about exhaust

Maybe you could look at that one. Perhaps even search for previous posts. 8)
