Hello all,

The antique needs round rubber things and I am thinking about NEXEN CP641 in 205/65/15.... Has anyone had these or others on their Falcon? What about Triangle tyres? Any suggestions in the 'more humble' sizes?

Wagon.

mate i work in a tyre shop and steer away from cheap shit! save some cash and buy good year excellence in that size. dont pay more than $119 a tyre and they will last long give you awesome grip in the wet and will make your car drive like a ba falcon. i have them on my xy with a set of globes and i love them!

Like everything you pay for the good stuff and in tyres its JAP.

Look for a pricey tyre and go for the shop who does them the cheapest.

Toyo, Bridges (Jap ones) and Yokohama and you cant go wrong.

Im not a fan of Goodyears, but thats me.
Dunlops last a long time but fade away too early where as the brands above grip to the death cos theyre quality.

Nexens arent to bad, theyre made in China now though. They were being made in Korea or Japan?? for years before.

Good for their price, not so good for wear especially on the heavier cars.

Cheers Steve

It costs $90 at present to fill the tank on my DD. I think that puts tyre prices into perspective - we don't complain half so much about how little precious time our fuel lasts!
