i just bought a 32/36 progressive weber with electrick choke from JASON1974 from where can i run a wire to the choke.....and since im asking do any of you guys have pics...ohh and i forgot to mention i have DUI installed

I spent money I didn't need to on the choke, 1 pump and it starts.

I'll give you a hint on the stator wire, stator starts with an "S". Happy hunting.

it's the terminal on the back of the alternator with an "s" next to it.

any place where theres power with the switch in the on posistion.

Green and red wire out the back of the ignition switch that runs to the pink wire. Tap in there with a clamping tap.

You have to breathe into a breathalizer to start the car ??

The stater is the BEST option because the cholk will only be charge when the engine is running . If it's wired to anything else and have a hard to start car or listen to the radio with the engine off in cool weather, the cholk coil will be charged and there will be no cholk on a cold engine.

The stator wire is the best wire to use. It produces no voltage until the engine is actualy running.

However, Electric chokes come in two flavors. A DC one that takes 12 VDC to run and an AC one that takes about 6-7 VAC to run.

The stator provides 6-7 VAC so it is beast suited to an AC choke.

Unfortunetely you most likely have a DC choke. 6-7 VAC will not correctly work your DC Choke

The way to hook it up is to hook the stator to the coil terminal of a relay and the other coil terminal to ground. Then hook a switched 12 VDC source to one side of the contactor of the relay and the other side to your choke.

When the engine is running the stator terminal will be producing 6-7 VAC. This is enough to energize the coil of the relay closing the contacts and supplying 12 VDC to your choke.
