Ok, '79 mustang (foxbody) and I am thinking about looking for a second motor to buld it. What do I need to look for? obviously I want the same bellhousing pattern so what years share this? also I guess I want the bigger intake log because I am having no luck in finding a decnet aussie or south american head.........

LOL thought about that man, but I have the ranger to race and just want to make this thing a little faster..... not go all out this time.......

I recall you had the later low mount starter, below the sump level?

That is the big-bell 200, care of Mike.

The best option is to check emmissions inspections. If you don't have any, your cool, but if you do, then you'll have to run propane or follow a benchmarking test as accepted in some states where you rate two vehicles, one with the stock engine, and one with the mods. Get it wrong, and your car will be slugged by the Feds.

If your okay with proceeding, then go for the 200 six. Its a natural! Going Log engines is the Going thing! They are light, easy to work on, and would take any abuse, from a little 32/36 adpator and headers right on up to a 500 cfm Holley, Does 10'S Turbo or Mustangaroo Supercharger. Pick a combo you like. Nitrous, trippl Offy's, special cams, they all have been used to make this overdesigned throwaway piece the ultimate sleeper!

The little 3.3 is an engine with a heart of pure steel!

Ok, thanks Xtaxi that is what I wanted to here. Yeah I have no emissions so I can go all out and I have been looking at a turbo and I think I found another engine I can build so we'll see.... I am thinking about taking the US head and seeing what I can do with it as far as machining it to accept a bolt on intake.
