Oz Vapor Lock or cooling tips?

Any of you guys have any tips used for vapor lock or engine cooling? Such as fuel line routing on a 200 or 250. I am not having any problems not but I like to be prepared.
 
You need not worry, there are no vapor lock problems with the Aussie 2V's, In Bakersfield, Ca we can see 115* temp on a really hot day and I have had no problems, where you live in the Bay your hotest day won't exceed 90* temp! Don't make the swap harder than it is! It's a very easy swap with almost no work other than bolting on the Aussie head and hooking of your lines........................................
 
The swap was very easy. I just noticed that both you and AZCoupe have rubber fuel lines. My line is steel which is more prone to vapor lock when I go up to Reno for HAN. I was considering using rubber but do not like rubber fuel line for more than a 12 inch length.

In some Oz pictures I saw the fuel line being routed in different ways, so I am just trying to get some idea's on how to run it.
 
Well, running it straight up from the pump over the top cover is probably best for heat control. If you had a rubber section immediately before the carb, and one at the pump, it might be possible to swivel the hose out of the way rather than unbolting each end, for valve adjustments.

You are running the water jacket in the inlet manifold, aren't you? It's there for stable temperatures. Coating the exhaust would help for sure.

Thanks Adam. That is what I was looking for. I saw some pictures that were posted a while back and noticed the fuel line going over the valve cover. I figured that was done for a purpose. The US heads have the fuel line running in front of the block near the radiator.

Yes, I am running the heater hose into the intake. Now, if I can just find the little piece in the fuel line that returns fuel back to the pump.
 
I believe it's known as a "vapour separator". When the WW-series Stromberg carbs were OEM (later '60s, through '70s), these were quite common, and often directly attached to the carb itself. Like most things amateurs don't understand, they were often discarded when the WW was supplanted by a "better" :lol: Holley carb. If you have trouble locating one (I am guessing these are - up to a point - generic), I could try Howarths CSC, the carb people here who seem to know everything.
