Thats what I consider mine to be.Is it "fast" in comparison to drag strip performance builds? No. Is it even "fast" the way that current production muscle cars are? No. But it is light and it is nimble and feels quick......much quicker than a stock Falcon should be. I built the 200 with 10.2:1 compression, tight quench, good port work,a nice cam properly degreed and a good carb and ignition setup. Coupled with a T5 trans and 2.79 gear in an 8" Mav rear end it is a blast on the street, cruises great on the road and returns 26-27 mpg daily and as high as 32 mpg on road trips. Some might say the 2.79 gear with the T5 is too tall......not for the torque I have. I built it to deliver its power between idle and 3500 rpm and that it does.
Could I drop in a 5.0 and kick some butt? Sure, but who couldn't do that? I can incinerate the tires in 1st gear and get a good 10 ft of rubber in second with the six and still wave as I pass the gas station......
