Pressurized Rockerarm 223 same as y-block?

I watched it three times and the only thing I can see is that he is blocking ANY oil from getting to the rocker shaft. The 223 oils from the #3 cam bearing to the rocker shaft and returns through the #1 rocker stand. so he is effectivly shutting off the oil to and from the rockershaft. There has to be more to it in order to send pressurized oil to the shaft.

He blocks both of the return tubes forcing the oil down the through the rocker shaft outlets (pushrods amd tappets). From what I have read this should rasie the oil pressure anywhere form 5-10 PSI in the system. On the 223 you would only need one bolt to close the return oil tube.

OK, looking at it from that point, I can see it. He just says to block off 2 stands which would be one per side on the bent 8. On ours, we would only need to block off the one return line, but would have to keep the pressure line which would be from the number three cam bearing. Does sound reasonable now and I may try it when I install the hi-lift rockers I have on hand for my 223.
