Any ideas about a recurrent problem I have?
Here is the problem: when it is warm outside (above 80ºF or so) and I restart the car with the engine hot, it stalls as soon as I give it gas.
A local shop, who rebuilt the carb, had a look and determined that the float was set too high because when it stalled you could see gas shooting out of the bowl. So now the float is set to just above fuel starvation level and it works ok, but still stalls sometimes just after restart.
Could the problem be something else other than the float?
Any and all ideas welcome, please!
Thanks,
Scott
