Rockers Upgrade?

I noticed there are a lot of 1.6 rockers out there for the Ford. Probably a stupid question but can you use a aluminum rocker on your standard rocker assembly or do you have to replace the entire assembly. I would like to find out before I try to do something stupid.

8) you might be able to adapt aluminum rockers to the stock rocker arm shaft on the small six, but why? especially when you can buy a complete assembly from classicinlines.com
