I have been getting all the parts together for the crossflow rebuild. I have found some roller rockers and roller tip lifters for that engine. They are both more then double the price of the standard ones. Question is how much of a HP difference will things like these like this make? Any drawbacks?

Want to build the best motor I can but need t stay in budget so I do not want to spend $$$$ unless it will make a noticeable difference.

HI SPYKE
Most of the HP gained by using rollers is the loss of friction, heat, and ware only a poiny or so unless the ratio is more the stock.

Thanks. Thats what I thought. I think I may go with roller tip rockers but not full rollers and just regular lifters. The cost for roller tips is not that bad. Then I can put some of the money I save into other things (carb, elec fan etc) that will make a bigger difference!
