Aluminum Roller tipped 1.6 ratio available from Rocker Arm Speacialities- are these the roller rocker arms from fordsix.com, or are they diffrent. IF so how much are they?

LAter,

Curtis

same as far I know. Rocker arm sells them for $320. I forgot the contact person there. buy 5 and the price for each may drop a bit. but you'd have to find four other buyers.

Evidently you haven't priced them lately. I buy ten sets at a time and can't touch them for that. Gary keeps raising his price everytime I place an order. When we did our first group buy two years ago, he was only charging $260 IIRC, but has raised it considerably. He knows he's the only supplier and that he has us in a tight spot.

Well im looking to purchase a set i proably wont buy them until christmas tho. Hopefully they wont go up in price. Thanks for the info.

You're absolutely right, I haven't spoken to him within the last week. But that's the price he quoted me over the phone just 3 months ago I was buying two.

But looking over my set, it looks like they're just re-bushed(if that's even a word) FE rockers. But I'm sure they're not, and my aged eyes are failing me.

I just got off the phone with Gary and he confirmed what you said. He said they quoted you wrong (likey story). I think it was just a line of BS he was giving me (as usual).

I told him to take his rockers and do you know what with them. Effective imediately, FSPP will no longer be selling any of their products. You'll all have to deal with them dirrectly (you'll get a better price too).

I've been upset with his service anyway. Takes months to fill my orders, lies about it constantly (keeps saying they almost done), and now this. I'm done with him.

Considering what he was charging me for them, plus the shipping, I wasn't making anything on them anyway. Just a bunch of headaches and lies.

Thanks for the heads up. Time to look for a new supplier.

 uh oh

I will not be logging on anytime soon. I've been diagnosed with a serious case of FOOT-IN-MOUTH SYNDROME.

Sounds like it's the guy at Rocker Arm Specialty that screwed up. He finally got called on it. Not your fault that the guy's a twit.

DBzOkole, It's not your fault at all.

A couple years ago, several of us contacted Gary and made a group purchase for $260 or $270 per set IIRC (which took 6-8 months to get). Then a few months later, FSPP was founded. I called Gary too see what type of price I could get if I ordered ten or twenty sets at a time. He gave me a $10 discount off the group price. But in doing so, he said he would give me an exclusive on them as he was having problems with his other supplier (???) and was no longer selling to them. He also said if someone called him for a set, he would refer them to FSPP, since I was now his new distributor and he did not like dealing direct anyway.

Everytime I called to get more sets, the price went up. I've had an outstanding order for ten sets since that first day, but he has never shipped me more than six at any one time. And I have to call him repeatedly to get what I do get. It's like a crap shoot as I never know when or how many are coming. But the price keeps going up.

I've heard more than once that customers were buying dirrect form him, despite his promises to me. But then to find out that he's selling to one time customers, for less than what he's charging me (his so called distributor). And he can't even completely fill an order that I placed with him two years ago. :?

Just not good business IMO. Considering that he charges me $375 plus shipping, I only make about $20 on the deal. That's bad enough, but then to put up with all the lies and delays on top of it. Too much for me.

I have one set left in stock, so I'll leave them posted on my website until its sold. But once gone, they will disappear.

One of my main goals at SEMA this year, was to look for another supplier because of all the problems and delays. I have a few leads, so I'll start following up on them. Hopefully I can find another manufacturer for them (at better prices) and one that can fill the orders in a timely fashion.

When I talked to him last week, it sounded like he was about to up the price again. So this was all coming down the pipe eventually. This just pushed me past my limit.

Thanks Dennis.

That guy sounds like a you no what. Is there any chance of another company making the roller rockers? If so let me know please.

there's also Harland-Sharp

I called them this afternoon, but they were already closed. So I sent them an e-mail just a while ago.

I'm also inquiring with Yella Terra. They seem like a great company to deal with and I already have an account with them.

A couple weeks ago, a auto/marine engine builder in Maryland gave me a call. He said he had been trying to get a set of the full roller rockers from another US supplier for three months, to no avail. Finally he called Yella Terra, and they refered him to me (that's the way it should work). To make a long story short, he had the rockers in his hands two days later. I also supplied him with all the tech info he was seeking and made sure he was headed in the right direction. Today, he called again, ordered more parts, and set up an account.

Am I alone is wishing that Yella Terra would batch some more "Yella Terra" rollers, as opposed to the "Street Terra" that is presently only choice?

I Love this bit from their FAQ's:
6 – Why are STREET TERRA and Yella Terra rockers not anodised to nice colours?
Anodising degrades the aluminium reducing its tensile strength and reducing the life cycle of the arm. An anodised arm is weaker! Anodising is an electrochemical process that produces a clear or coloured coating on the rocker arm. This coating is extremely hard and is "notch sensitive". Even slight "dings" from careless handling or slight scratches like those from feeler gauges can cause a "stress riser" precipitating cracking and subsequent arm failure.
Cheers, Adam.

Me too.
Mike,
I went to the Yella Terra web site http://www.yellaterra.com.au/application.php?page=app5 and got the part number information; Full Roller Rocker Set YTRST2014 Rockers-1.65-FORD 6 144-(Special Order Part)
Then I looked up the “Stockistsâ€￾ for several US states and found Lane Automotive http://www.laneautomotive.com/ sells a set for $427.99
I’ve also asked for a quote from ENGINE & PERFORMANCE WAREHOUSE http://www.epwi.net/ but have yet to receive a response
If you can get these beauties back to the price range your talking about we’ll all be well served to wait and let you work your magic. Good luck and keep us posted.

Installation of Full Roller Rockers will require the elimination of the stock rocker arm shaft, thus eliminating the stock oiling system as well. To retain oiling to the valve train, the pushrods and lifters must be changed to an oil through design. Yella Terra Street Terra P/N ST2014 Shaft type (1.65) requires Cleveland lifters and oil through pushrods.

Do you know a price for the yellow terra rocker arms? How much is it for the oil through lifters and pushrods?
