Roller Rockers

Pushrods (oil through) can usually be found from the stock ranges offered by the usual manufacturers. Lifters are the same as SBF, so just hit Evilbay.

BTW, Street Terra 2014's sell for about $550-odd here, so $420 in US currency is pretty reasonable.

they are?

according to the numbers in the catalogs, lifters for the big sixes are SBF; yet lifters for the small sixes 170-200-250 are FE big block 352-428.

But then again, I can´t be sure. comp cams online catalog list the same parts number for 200 and 250 push rods.

In their printed dealer catalog, they only list pushrods for the 200; though they have "hi tech" 5/16 pushrods in about every length you like.

so, whats the deal with lifter interchangeability?

This is the response I got from ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE WAREHOUSE:

I don't have a resale license, so I'll defer to Mike.

Simon, the generic part number for the FE style lifters is 2083. That's a non-oil through hydraulic design. The oil-throughs are 900 series. 900-R is generally a Rhoads-style unit, 900C is a chilled cast iron base. There are regular 900s, also.

Harrie, the metallurgy of forging is an important aspect of the strength of Y/Ts versus regular Street Terras.

I sell the full roller rockers, pushrods, and lifters (in a kit) for $495.00 So that's about $65 (extra) for the Eaton lifters and the chrome moly pushrods.

Just out of mere curiosity, would the Chrysler 318-340-360 rockers or the Ford FE rockers work? I'm sure that the diameter of the shaft is bigger, but how much? Could they be "modified" to work? BTW, they don't look cheap :? :(

It's going to come down to geometry. Not just the ratio or shaft Ø but the included angle between the sides. I would suggest that the valve stem and pushrod each need to be "squarest" to the respective arm sides, at the point of maximum linear acceleration. If you could find the right included angle, maybe bushing up or down on the shafts would be feasible.

Cheers, Adam.

Why not bolt a 3/8" steel plate on the rocker arm pedestal boss then use screw in studs and sbc or ford roller rockers?
