Does anyone know of a source for oem style corrugated, rectangular air filter duct that fit's the 70-80's air cleaners?

over the top of the radiator, into the cool airflow coming up from the front would make a difference with our dog boxes heat issues (assuming 1st gen econoline)

Other option is over the valve cover, and down the driver side of engine then forward to cold air (going through the shift rod bulkhead)...

That second idea was my thought. But that tubing is a little spendy for what it is. Probably just point the snorkle over to the "cooler" side of the doghouse.

If it was me, I would just point the snorkel straight forward, and get the inlet past the radiator, there is plenty of cold air in the space between radiator and front of dog box, and it is a nice short run... My turbo piping will likely take the other route, over and under... Either way, getting it in front of the radiator will likely be good for more then a couple HP...

Still can't picture it, but that's OK, no need.

Since these R street machines - how bout below? and to that lill grill on the front, between/below the headlights?
Am I remembering the sheet metal correctly? No need for such extravagance here?

The grill is almost 3 feet forward of the radiator (which is about equal with the drivers seatbelt). a short (24") run of duct going in a straight line directly forward of the carb would rest on the top of the radiator (there is a bit of a gap between the radiator and box lid) and would pick up cold air that was on it's way to the radiator (from the grill).

If mine was a later model with the heater under the dash I would build a tunnel from the doghouse to the large heater hole just behind the grill. And put a console on top of it or something.

you still have to get around the radiator...

This is what I am doing:

Air filter will be on the passenger side, under the floor, in front of the bulkhead that the belly pan/radiator mount attaches to, then will go through the bulkhead, and run back to the turbo, which will be basically next to the tranny on the passenger side, the turbo outlet will then go under the oil pan behind the crossmember, up the driver side of the engine, and over the valve cover, to the throttle body. It will all be under the floor, except the one pipe going to the throttle body.

Yeah, the tunnel would be for more air to the radiator/doghouse not the carb per se

Not sure you knew this, but the '65 and later under dash heater bolts right in an early, just gotta grab the passenger side vent box as well.
