SPARK PLUG GAP W/DURASPARK

0.50 - 0.60

i read somewhere (I think on this site) that this is what u should be doing. the gap gets smaller as the compression goes up but i dont think u have to change it untill about a 10:1 compression ratio.

i thought it was wider gap when the coil and spark become HOTTER

mayeb I didnt know why...but I did it

as per Falcon Six Handbook....(plug)

are they compatable with the us cams?

are the headers expensive?

Chaz, that's the way I understood it, too. Stock gap for my 82 is listed as .048-.052. With the hotter coil, I still only went as far as .052.

A lot of folks say to go as high as .060 with a performance coil.

I'VE GOT THE GM MODULE IN PLACE RIGHT NOW AND IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING FINE-STILL ON STOCK COIL THOUGH. I AM GOING TO PUT ON A HOTTER COIL IN THE FUTURE-UNFORTUNATELY, THE NIGHTS ARE STARTING TO GET REAL COLD HERE AND MY DRIVING WILL BE HALTED DUE TO ROAD SALT!I'LL TRY TO BUMP UP THE GAP AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS-THANX!

I went .054 with MSD-6A, Pertonix ignitor and 40kv coil.
No problems...plugs are nice tan color and not melting away.

It is a K&N Air Filter. I went on line from the K&N web site, selected find a dealer and then looked up the specs online I needed, flange height, diamter, angle, offset and basically picked an exact fit. Works great.
Sorry don't have the model number.
Was about $29
Good luck,
Steve-O
