Ok guys, need some more advice.
I never did lick the electrical problems, but I am going to have my wire harness rebuilt.
Some of you may remember that I have struggled to tune this Weber 38 DGES since I bought it years ago. I think I bought it over 10 years ago. Probably only driven a total of 1000 miles on it.
After the car is warmed up, it will idle just fine and I can rev the engine with no issues. When accelerating in 1st it has a major flat spot at about half throttle. When shifting to 2nd, I have to really baby it as it will develop a major flat spot and major surging somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 throttle.
Any ideas?
I am so tempted to take it off, replace with a Pony Carb and then do the head and engine work and put the Weber back on then.
