Timing setting for 1968 200ci?

What is the *BTDC setting for a 1968 200ci inline six? Right now I have it set to 10* BTDC, which is the setting for a 1965 200ci. I still have not bought a 1968 shop manual. The car is a '65 but the engine and trans are from '68.

Should be the same, Dude. The 1977 and later ones were set by Ford at 10 degrees. Before that, all my references show 6 degrees in Comets and 8 degrees in Fords, like Mustangs and Galaxies.

Howdy:

8 degrees for a standard trans, 12 degrees for an automatic.

Both can benefit from more, say 12 and 15.
