hello im looking for a timing tab for a 1980 ford granada 250ci...i have the part number it is D9DZ6023A/B....i have tried green sales company and miller obsolete parts...or if someone knows how many degrees per inch i could make my own...any help is greatly appreciated

Once you know how far the timing markings are from the centre of the crank, you can work out the spacing between markings.

Say the distance from the markings plate to the centre of the crank is R.

The circumference of the circle with R radius is 2 * pi * R.

So

2 * pi * R = 360 deg

and

1 degree = (2 * pi * R) / 360

Hope this helps.

Probably easier to get the part, or another from an engine with the markings the same distance from the centre of the crank (any make will do, so long as the distance from centre of rotation is the same and engine rotates the same way).
