Looking for tips on prepping the block prior to the machine shop. I have my engine torn down, freeze plugs out, cam bearings out, coolant and oil plugs removed, everything has been taken apart. I was going to go ahead and remove the casting flash and deburr the radiuses on all the inside surfaces and passageways (hit all the sharp edges and unplug the water passages). Clean up all the freeze plug ports and chase all the threads. Anything imparticular we need to pay attention to or be aware of?
I did have one question, there is a small oil galley plug next to the cam shaft, maybe a ½ in diameter, does that come out as well? I believe it does but I wanted to double check before I popped it out. I appreciate any input, thanks!
