im going to rebuild my motor soon. i know i cant run boost when braking it in but i dont want to change the EX manifold. i was woundering if i can lock the BOV open so it will bypass and wont build PSI.
Really, though, just don't drive it like a retarded monkey that stole it and you should be fine.

Ok,you're talking about the wastegate rather than a blowoff valve (they go in the tube between the compressor housing and the carb). A sealed crimped wastegate actuator can't be adjusted.....true.BUT you can add an external spring that pulls on the wastegate arm that counteracts the wastegate actuator and lets the'gate open earlier. Very easy to do and works like a champ!
