Hello everyone. It has been a little while since I last posted, and I have finally found time to get the initial projects completed. I learned a lot about my car, and couldn't have done what little I have without the help I received here since I am learning as I go.
Here are a couple of photos of the engine bay as it sits today.
This first one shows the new headers, starter, fab-ed linkage, carb adapter, rerouted heater hose, etc.
Second one shows the DSII distributor, Module mounted to the fender well, and the coil in the stock location. (please disregard the temporary red jumper wire across the valve cover.)
So I have completed the DSII conversion, the 2v Weber carb swap and the headers . . . taking it to the exhaust shop this weekend to have that done. After reading a lot of threads here, I am starting with a set of turbo mufflers to see if I like sound.
Any advice on which way to go from here would be appreciated.
I was thinking: next up would be some suspension work. New shocks, anti sways and lowering the thing about 1 inch and an electric fan . . . then I'd like to install disk brakes, a late model head and a T-5 (but those last two seem a bit above my skill level).
Anyway, thanks again for all of the help to date. Who knows, maybe someday I can lend some help to someone based on what I learned here so far.
