Finally got my car running great, thought all probs were ironed out, had about 500 miles on it. Was driving great. Drove to my moms house for a visit. Parked in front, visited for about an hour, when I went to leave, it would not start. I have checked for fuel, it has it, checked for spark, it has it. I need to check for the last component, compression (will check later this week). Has anyone else had something like this happen. I had no warnings, as I stated earlier it was running great. I am lost.

Is your engine just turning and turning over without running. You may have a timing chain problem. ???..ZZ

OK engine needs 3 things to run.

1)Air

2)Fuel

3) Spark

You said it is getting spark, fuel and air so it seems to me it has to be a timing issue.

What color is the spark?

Is your distributor loose?

Have you tried to crank it over with a timing light on it?

How old is the coil?
