Wanting to build up 200

I am wanting to start gathering up the parts to add to the "go" of a 200 cid I have concentrated mostly on the "show". A number of years ago, a friend in our local club (long since moved on) had the 200 cid with the triple Weber 1 brl/"Offy Log set upwith a low to mid range cam. headers, beefed up ignition and head I think I'd like to go that route. I may be able to pick up the log, but it seems like the one primary source that used to handle the K909 1 brl indicates that he can not longer get them. Anyone have any ideas.

I have a whole bunch of late 80's through 90's Harley Davidson "CV" carbs made by Keihin. I have one on my Harley and it'll support 1 HP per cubic inch pretty easily!

I think it would be way cool to mount three of these on a 200 Log, and I have been playing with the idea of doing that. Since they are "CV", or constant velocity, you can't "over carb" and giving full throttle at once won't result in a bog.

Those old 1 bbl used in the 60's when the triple carb adapter was available are getting pretty hard to find. I would try to use more modern carbs.

:D Found listing that indicates that the K909 is a "kit" number, and the
34 ICH is the model number at www.piercemanifolds.com/webercat.pdf , but the listing is for BMW. I wonder if they are the same and fill fit the Offy log. This site does not tell where to order or to whom one can ask questions.

:D I have found a little more information since last post. The 34 ICH is the version that has a choke, and it's apparently not availible due to some labor problems. The version 34 ITH (I think), is the version that does not have a choke and is apparently availible. This is the second report I have got that indicates that a "labor' problem makes it unavailable. Any one got any ideas.

mustang652,

Are you set on three 1 bbls? Or would you consider a 2 bbl?

Geezer why did you delete all that info on your site?

later,

Curtis

Its been there since 2000 or 01 so its been there quite awhile. I dont think that too many people have been looking at it lately so I deleted most of
it. :D :D :D

I planned on redueing it, but I dont know if I will or not.

How about triple SU carbs on an OZ head? I still have one setup that I'm thinking about selling (going to triple Webbers). OR I can help you with a turbo setup. Does10 and I are working on mass production of his design, which will help lower the cost. PM me if interested.

Doug,

You definitely need to redo your website. I constantly refer guys to it for ideas (especially those that are not forum members). They always come back with a hearty "Thank You". I know for certain, it has helped many less experienced decide what to do with their projects. 8)

Either that, or help me add content to my website. I would love to add more "how to", "helpful hints", "tech info", and a trouble shooting guide on my site, but don't have the time to do it. Also going to change the content of the package deals, and add a few complete packages (based on stages). I have lots of ideas, but no time. I'd be happy to give you the link and password, and a much better discount on parts (like the new aluminum head and valve cover) in exchange for your time. You always do a great job.

:D Mustang_Geezer, thanks for the links, pictures worth more than than a thousand words, and Link's 200, yes, even though my preference would be the triple system, I would give consideration to a 2bbl, or even the machine shop milling 2 one bbl system shown on Mustang-Geezer's link.
I would need a whole lot of info on the 2 bbl idea, especially if I could do it and still leave the option for a later application of the triple system.

In looking around for a new 38 DGES yesterday, I heard from several sources that the "labor issues" they were having have finally been resolved and they are supposed to start shipping parts in the next few weeks.

I had to call a few places for my carb. Some had, some were out. I ended up going to Stovebolt who may not have been the cheapest, but had them available to ship same day.
