Well Clifford came through again! I called them up on Wed. night and explained that I had ordered the wrong spacer for my Weber carb . This morning while i'm pulling out my dashpad, a FedEx truck rolls up and delivers the new part. Kudos to Clifford!
Now that I had the carb spacer I could install the 38/38 carb. Bolting the thing on was easy but the linkage was a toughy. I spent about 2 hours getting the linkage lined up and bolted on. I ended up using about 3 or 4 pieces of the 8 or more that they provided. I'll post some pictures in a day or two to show how I rigged it up.
Took the car for a test spin.....WOW is all I can say . The addition of the carb really made a difference in the way my car drove. Throttle response also seems to be improved along with the idle its and performance.
Hope to see some of you at Knotts next weekend!
