I bought a Weber carb a few years back and installed on my 200.I bought it used so I do not know anything about the jets etc.Also not even sure what arb it is whether a 32/36 or a 38.How can I tell as I may want to replace.I was reading an article that says the 38 is better for a rebuilt and/or modified 6

A 32/36 weber is a progressive carb. Only one butterfly (smaller) will move until about 2/3 throttle, then the other (larger) will begin opening.

In a 38 weber, both will open the same amount at the same time.

A 32/36 is thought of a mileage carb; the 38 is a performance carb.

I guess I will do some reading because I am not really sure on the jets.Which is the right size how do I know.Just really do not know much about carbs

This book was suggested to me for my webers, and I really like it. While it can't tell you exactly how to jet the carb (nothing ever will), you can figure out a good starting place and use an exhaust sensor to fine tune the jetting. The weber seems much easier to re-jet in the car, so that's nice.

the book goes through rebuilding different models, jetting/tuning, some troubleshooting I think (haven't needed that yet), and manifold theory.
