well my timing jumped so i wont be drivin for a few days

Endplay is supposed to be about 20 thou IIRC. But what Jess suggested to adjust mesh is probably good practice. I think the shaft is pushed upward with the gears meshing; that is a "failsafe" so if the top of the dizzy lets go, it's not sucked into the cam area. Also the gear wears against the dizzy via a thin hardened washer, rather than chafing the block.

The whole oiler deal is pressed in. You probably will have some fun to extract it without damage. Reinstalling it would be best done with a shouldered mandrel or driver; it needs to fit inside the tube to stop warping or collapse and also press against the top edge of the tubing to actually force into position.

You may well be best buying a new oiler - not sure where to look but I'd try McMaster-Carr first.
